Gardner Skelton is a woman-owned law firm that sought to redefine what a legal office could be—fun, flexible, wellness-focused, and deeply connected to the community. The firm selected a 1960s industrial building just north of Charlotte’s NoDa district and partnered with Strata to transform it into a one-of-a-kind headquarters that reflects their culture and values.

Strata was engaged to provide full project management services—from early planning through construction—on this 20,000 SF adaptive reuse project. Working closely with the design and construction teams, we helped deliver a space that blends original architectural character with bold, custom features, indoor-outdoor connectivity, and integrated community art.

The result is a dynamic, pet-friendly workplace that supports productivity, well-being, and creativity—while also catalyzing revitalization in a transitioning corridor of the city.
